Axial feed or plunge milling decreases cutter deflection, as all cutting forces are directed back into the spindle. The TS45 end mills are ideal for internal work on machining centers, where chamfering operations are frequent. The TS45 is particularly suitable for machining 45° tapers and steps. Compared with 75° and 90°, the 45° angle permits higher feed rates. Furthermore, the TS45 can be used as a circular milling cutter or for back chamfering. Certain boring applications can also be handled. |
